4 Reasons why you Should have an Air Fryer in Your Kitchen

Firstly, what is an air fryer?

So I’ve got many memories of going out for food with my family. I remember I always used to look forward to one thing. What was that thing? That thing I looked forward to so much was fries. I guess you could ask me. Someone would say ‘Did you not have fries at home’, we did yes. But you can’t beat the real deal, can you? At home, you can of course get some oven fries, but they just do not seem to give the same ‘crunch’.

Crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside! So pretty much to put it as simply as possible, you can get these amazing fries at home, but there’s a catch. Not a bad catch like paying for your airplane seats.

The catch is that you can restaurant fries at home with an air fryers. In the reasons I’ll state below you’ll find all the amazing benefits of having one of them as a part of your kitchen equipment. I’m sure you’ll leave this page seriously considering making the investment into this wonderful

How does it work?

Cooking with oil was so 2020, why fill your body with extra unnecessary calories when it can be avoided. It sounds too good to be true right? Well if you feel like something fishy is going on here I’ll let you into how it actually works. So here we go, the top area of the air fryer has a fan and a mechanism that heats up the air.

This air circulates rapidly around the food you placed inside, this will make a lovely crispy finish to your desired food. Or obviously, you get to buy a big jug of sunflower oil and heat it up and dump your food in. That’s one way to do it, that’s also another great way to clog up your arteries and possibly suffer a heart attack. You are now aware of how air fryers work, let’s look at some reasons you should buy one

1 – Staying healthy

I’ve already stated this, but I think we should dig a little deeper. In a perfect world, we could eat exactly what we wanted and however much we wanted to stay healthy whilst looking great. That’s not the case most of the time I’m afraid, I’m sure you’re aware of that already. Having fat in your diet is recommended, it’s also necessary. But I’m sure you already know that having deep-fried foods is not food for your health and wellbeing.

Eating excess fried foods will increase your bad cholesterol and decrease your good cholesterol. It’s not gonna look good for you if you’re consuming this trash regularly. So the good part about air fryers is that you can cut down the fat content by over 70% meaning you can indulge in your favourite foods, whilst not becoming unhealthy

2 – Flexibility of possibilities

The possibilities are endless, you can cook almost anything in these new ones that are now emerging. Looking for a healthy snack here are some examples. You can take some canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drain them off, and throw them in with some oil and salt. You can even add some of your favourite seasoning like cajun and mixed herbs. When they’re done they can serve as a salty snack, but rich in fiber and protein.

Fancy some movie night, no need to stand next to the pan and watch the kernels pop, or go to the store and buy premade. You can set the timer and set up the movie whilst the kernels pop, you can also add flavours and seasoning to the kernels just like the fried chickpeas. It’s a win-win

3 – Time efficient

Be honest with yourself, how long do you have to wait for your oven to heat up to your desired temperature to cook the food you want. It can take at least 15 minutes, that’s if you’re lucky. Maybe your oven is old, which means it could be much longer. Let’s just say that ovens, just like oil, are out of date.

Yeah they both have their place and time but why waste your life when you could have an air fryer and be waiting just minutes. The hot air is circulating very fast, let’s just say we know that it heats up faster than an oven can. You know when you’re baking a cake, you may occasionally have to open up the oven to check if it’s ready depending on the age of the oven. When you open the oven you’ll lose all that heat you waited so long for. What a waste

4 – sustainability

Plastic, pollution, and the end of the world. Yeah, I’m sure you’ve heard it before, you can’t avoid it. It’s all unfolding before our eyes, we just can’t see it as clearly as we should do.

But it may sound silly but imagine the amount of bottles you could save from not buying oil. Another thing on top of that is some people may not be aware of how to dispose of used oil properly. Many people just put it down the toilet or sink, I’m sure you know how awful that is. No need for me to explain the facts, it’s obvious

Time to wrap up

So my final thoughts on this topic is kind of a no-brainer. Buying an air fryer is a great investment for you and your family. You’ll also be able to do your bit in saving the planet, and at the same time you can lose the pounds you’ve always wanted to, without too much difficulty. Let’s just say that an air fryer is a great addition to your kitchen and it can be used for a massive amount of tasks, making your life so much easier and efficient
